Portable stoves appeared in 1892 and burned paraffin. They quickly became famous because they were particularly useful in the military, but also in all kinds of campers.
The model Hipolito No 2, Rechaud Stove, Superior Quality is made of brass and has been manufactured in Portugal in the 60s. It was specially built for the Arab countries and tropical climates.
